Vice President for Research (VPR)
The Office of the Vice President for Research has oversight of all research related matters and strives to provide services to faculty and increase the funding available to support research while protecting the University’s interests and assuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. These services are intended to help advance research and are handled through offices that include Sponsored Projects.

The Post Newsletter (formerly Researcher’s Corner) is a valuable resource from the Vice President for Research Office designed to communicate useful information to the University of Utah research community.

Systems/Interfaces
The following systems are commonly used at the proposal development, proposal submission, and post-award administration stages. If you need help accessing or navigating any of them, please ask OSP or utilize the chat feature on our website.
eProposal
eProposal is an OSP system, via CIS, that generates each Document Summary Sheet (DSS). eProposal collects data and approvals, identifies compliance issues, and etablishes the base record for proposal and award project/s.
Cayuse S2S
Cayuse, via CIS, is an OSP managed program for system-to-system proposal submissions in response to many, if not most, federal opportunities that would otherwise be submitted via Grants.gov.
eAward
eAward is an OSP system, via CIS, that was created to coordinate post-award administration workflow and increase transparency.
