About Us
The Office of Sponsored Projects, originally Cooperative Research, was established in 1948 to solicit and administer research contracts and grants from governmental and private agencies.
What we do
OSP is a resource for faculty, staff and students carrying out research and sponsored-project activities. We review and submit proposals on behalf of the University. We interpret and ensure compliance with University policy, proposal and award terms and conditions, and applicable Federal and state laws and regulations.
OSP assists in the management of awards funded by Federal by Federal and state agencies, foundations, and other public and private sources. We also draft, negotiate, and sign sponsored agreements and subawards.
Teams
Each Sponsored Projects Officer is part of a specialized area (federal and foundation grants & contracts, industry contracts, or industry clinical trials) and is assigned to focus on proposals and awards for a set of departments, schools and/or colleges.
