Funding Sources & Opportunities
4.2 External Support for Research
The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) is available to assist you in identifying funding sources for your externally sponsored project by performing a funding search or registering you to receive funding alerts via email. We have listed several of these resources here.
4.2.1 Identifying Potential Sponsors & Funding Resources
A competitive funding environment requires researchers to proactively explore a variety of funding sources. Pivot serves as the University's primary tool for discovering external opportunities across federal agencies, foundations, nonprofits, industry partners, and international sponsors. The platform allows researchers to:
- Build personalized funding searches based on keywords, disciplines, and research interests;
- Receive automated alerts when new opportunities match their profile;
- Track deadlines and save opportunities of interest; and
- Explore profiles of potential collaborators across institutions.
