Award Acceptance
8.1 Receipt of Award
All sponsored project awards to the University must be reviewed, processed, and formally accepted by the Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) on behalf of the institution. OSP serves as the University's authorized office for reviewing award documents to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements, University policy, and applicable laws and regulations.
If award notifications, agreements, or other award-related documents are received directly by the Principal Investigator (PI) or department, they must be forwarded to OSP promptly upon receipt to allow for timely review, negotiation (if needed), and institutional acceptance.
No sponsored project may be initiated, nor may funds be expended, until the award has been officially accepted by the University through OSP.
