Comply with Financial Conflict of Interest Policy (PHS)
Purpose
To ensure compliance with U.S. Public Health Service (PHS) regulations that promote objectivity in research by managing, reducing, or eliminating financial conflicts of interest.
Applicability
This requirement applies to Investigators and their designees who plan to participate in, or are currently participating in, sponsored projects funded by the PHS.
For purposes of this procedure, "Investigator" includes:
- The Project Director (PD) or Principal Investigator (PI)
- Any individual - regardless of title, position, or level of compensation - wh are responsible for the design, conduct, or reporting of PHS-funded research
- This may include collaborators, consultants, subrecipient personnel, or others who contribute to the project in a responsible capacity
Instructions
- Complete the required Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) training before engaging in any PHS-funded research activities.
- Training must be kept current account to University and PHS requirements.
